The Useful Camper

Why? We're obsessed with small, mobile spaces for adventure, travel, and living. And we know we're not the only ones.

First we built it for ourselves. Now we're building it for you.

Some might find it useless. And that's fine...
But not us.

Let us show you how we're doing this ...

You're looking at a prototype.

Our plan:
build it, test it, beat it up, fix it,
refine it.

When we go into production later this year, we don't there to be any surprises — for us or for you. To build the best ultralight truck camper we can, we have to use it. Hard. In all different terrains, climates, and scenarios. And that's exactly what we're doing.

Over the next several months, we'll travel in, live in, and generally shenanigan around in this prototype to see what works, what doesn't, and what can just be better.

Then we'll deliver a rock-solid camper that'll perform exactly how you need it to.

250lbs. The Useful Camper is one of the lightest ultralight truck campers available. Worried about how it'll change the way your truck handles on and off the road? Don't.

And with less than a 1 MPG decrease in fuel economy, it's something you can leave on your truck even when you're not using it.

You shouldn't have to tiptoe around adventure or miss out on a killer campsite because you're worried about whether your rig will make it. You've made sure your truck can handle it, and your TUC will be right there with you.

We've built this thing to be tough, with a combination of .120, .090, and .080 aluminum used throughout the camper, high-grade hardware, thick, abrasion and rip resistant fabric, it started tough. And we've tested and refined it to be even tougher.

It may be tough, but shit happens.

TUC is designed to be fixed. Anywhere.

In your garage, the parking lot of a big box store, or out in the dirt, don't sweat it. Nothing fancy here. With standard, readily available components and easy assembly and disassembly, TUC isn't going to leave you stranded. Dent a panel or rip the tent? We've got you covered.
